As some of you might know, one of my favourite fashion brands out there is River Island.
They offer reasonably priced fashionwear and they do it with flair! Not only is their clothing good for you wallet, this also counts for your style
Following the latest trends, there always be something in their line that suits you.
This fall they will launch their maternity range. Now, now.. wipe that look of your face, I won’t be thinking of having children for a long long LONG time
But! I am happy for those fashionistas out there that are going to be preganistas. River Island shows that with being pregnant your personal style does not have to suffer.
For online shopping: River Island (UK)
Stores located in the Netherlands:
Kalverstraat in Amsterdam (Superstore)

So Thursday evening I heard about the death of the guitar virtuoso Les Paul.
He had and still has a big influence on the way music sounds nowadays.
Since I sadly enough do not have the time right now to write a long post about this legend I will post some links to some of his work. I’ll probably update this post later on with my own story.

I love this concept of moving clockworks (150!) that together form one clock by the Dutch designer Christiaan Postma. At a first glance it looks like total chaos but when everything begins to move all falls into place. The clock consists of 150 individual clockworks and this results in having charm on its own in my opinion. I just love it and would love to hang it in my future to be apartment, it fits right in!

At the website stated below you can find an animation of how the clock changes throughout the day.

So today is the 65th anniversary of the landings at Normandy. I watched the BBC broadcast today and have great respect for all that have fought and all that have died in WW2. A few years ago I went on vacation to Normandy and saw the more than 9000 white crosses of fallen U.S. soldiers in Colleville-sur-Mer. I must say it was pretty impressive. I also visited the local war museum and Arromanches. I realized that most of my peers do not know what happened at these beaches or just take it for granted that so many people have fought for our freedom. This is why I ask you to stand still by what these brave people, heroes, did for our countries.
